Sierra is a five year old beagle and dresses up almost

every weekend at dog and cat adoption stand to collect donations for Henrico Humane animals who need surgeries. If you want to know more about

Sierra raises money for dogs and cats who need expensive surgeries and other special needs cases. This site is new, so I'll put up more pictures of the dogs and cats she is currently raising money for soon.

Elsa – This gorgeous girl was found as a stray with an embedded collar. She was wearing a flea collar and had gotten her front leg through it. We are not sure how long she was like this but the wound wrapped all the way around her body. The problem with this situation is that the area under her front leg is having trouble healing. The vet decided that she will need surgery to assist with the healing. Through the whole process and daily wound care Elsa has been all purrs. Not a single scratch to her care taker even though she clearly has been in pain. This outstandingly sweet girl needs your help to cover her medical bills. Please donate online if you would like to help Elsa and others like her with expensive medical expenses.

If you were wondering how Sierra got so good at being dressed up, well she's been dressing up pretty much all her life. She started dressing up in plays when she was young. She has played the role of several different dog characters, and even a reindeer in a play at Christmas. She has also been "The Easter Beagle" in the fashion show at the Henrico Humane Society Pet Expo for 4 years now. She started coming to the cat adoption stand where we got the idea to put her in a shopping cart with "the shades" on and a donation jar next to her. That started the whole "Sierra the Donation Dog" thing. And yes, she will just sit there dressed up all day long.
